![]() ![]() ![]() If a RIP will help me produce better prints, what is/are the brand name(s) of the software and possibly recommend who to buy it from? What would it do for me on a Canon i9100? What will a RIP do for me on my Epson 7600? I shoot raw files with an 11MP camera and print from Photoshop CS if that makes any difference on how you answer these questions: I didn't even know what a RIP was at the time, but knew I didn't have one. Also, when I bought the Eye-One Photo, I was told that if I had a RIP, I should be buying Eye-One Proof instead of Eye-One Photo. I photograph bikes and cars with wild colors so I could use whatever "extra" I can get out of a printer. Other than that, not sure what a RIP does or what it can do for me. I've heard that a RIP is not necessary, but will produce more vivid colors. ![]() I bought an Epson 7600 and know very little about what to do next other than to calibrate and profile with the Eye-One Photo that I just bought. ![]()
